Paul Bellan-Boyer, MDiv, MSc is the chief public health officer for the City of Jersey City. For his department he developed Peaceful Families for a Healthier Jersey City, launching in 2020, now 9 weekly groups for men and women. He facilitates groups in that program and others. With a varied career, Paul has been a pizzaman, gandy dancer, cook, systems analyst and engineer, psychotherapist and social worker, and animal control officer. A chaplain since September 2001, Paul is a Minister with the Church of God in Christ Intl, where he co-leads its national mens ministry. This month Paul celebrates his 45th wedding anniversary with his partner, Lisa. |

Paul Monsour has worked in Intervention Programs for men who use DFV since 2004, coming from the male dominated world of engineering, through teaching and other technical communication roles, to counseling. He is currently wading deep into the FPI approach through Queensland’s new Brief Intervention Program. In addition to his co-facilitation role at Anglicare, in the last 22 years he has worked with survivors of DFV at Sandbag, on the phones at DVConnect Mensline, co-facilitated at DVPC Gold Coast, and in relationship counselling at Anglicare. He was a member of the ministerial Advisory Group that advised on the development of the 2012 Qld DFV legislation and has sat on numerous reference groups, roundtables and consultation groups contributing to the development of the DFV sector in Qld. He has provided leadership in the growth and development of the SPEAQ network over more than 15 years and has authored a number of key submissions and papers in collaboration with other SPEAQ members. All of these roles are grounded in his passion for good practice. With a deep commitment to personal growth, practical spirituality and making the world a better place, Paul likes to understand the fundamentals, work compassionately and collaboratively, and build things that work for people. |
